Is your faith running low? Pastor Linda Reese has simple advice: go to Hebrews 11 and stay there a while. In this Sunday message from November 16, 2025, she walked through the chapter often called the Hall of Faith.

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Hebrews 11:1 (KJV)

We all hope for things we can’t see yet. Faith is trusting God with them.

  • Abel worshiped by faith (11:4). God looked at his heart as well as his offering.
  • Enoch walked by faith (11:5-6; Genesis 5:21-24). He walked with God for 300 years, so closely that one day God simply took him.
  • Noah worked by faith (11:7). He built the ark exactly as God said, for a rain no one had ever seen, in evil times much like ours.
  • Abraham went by faith (11:8-19). He left home not knowing where he was going, and he believed God could even raise Isaac from the dead.
  • Moses chose by faith (11:23-28). He gave up Pharaoh’s palace to stand with God’s people, and kept the Passover with the blood on the doorposts.
  • Israel crossed by faith (11:29-30). They walked through the Red Sea on dry ground and watched Jericho’s walls fall.

What about us?

Abraham didn’t get all the details before he obeyed. Would we pack up and go if God told us to, without telling us where? Faith means trusting that He has chosen the right place and will take care of us on the way. When your faith feels weak, read Hebrews 11 again, slowly.
