Honest answers to the questions people ask us most. If yours isn’t here, send us a message — we’d rather tell you than have you wonder.
Visiting for the first time
When does worship start?
Sunday morning, 10:00 to 11:00 AM. The doors open at 9:30 if you’d like to come early and say hello.
Where is Little Falls Chapel?
317 Foster Dr, Falling Waters, WV 25419. Look for the white chapel on Foster Dr. Our congregation comes from Falling Waters, Martinsburg, and across the line from Hagerstown, Maryland.
Where do I park?
Street parking on Foster Dr, right out front. We don’t have a parking lot or a drop-off area.
What should I wear?
Whatever you’re comfortable in. There’s no dress code here, and nobody is checking.
What actually happens during the service?
We open in prayer, sing a few songs together, share prayer requests, take an offering, and then Pastor Linda preaches from the Bible. Music is piano, organ, or a worship CD depending on the day. We’re usually finished by 11:00.
Is the building wheelchair accessible?
Yes. Our entrance and our restroom are both wheelchair accessible.
Can I just watch online first?
Of course. We go live on Facebook every Sunday at 9:55 AM, and past services are on YouTube. Plenty of people watch for a while before they walk in. That’s a perfectly good way to start.
Belonging here
Do I have to become a member?
No. We don’t have a formal membership process — no application, no membership class, nothing to sign. Come and worship, get to know the people, and as you become a regular part of the congregation, you’re part of the family. As Pastor Linda puts it: after the first time visiting here, you’re no longer a visitor.
Can I come if I’m not sure what I believe?
Yes. You’re welcome to sit, listen, and work things out at your own pace. Nobody will put you on the spot or ask you to explain yourself.
What if I haven’t been to church in years?
Then you’ll fit in fine. We’re a small congregation and people come back after all kinds of gaps. You won’t be asked where you’ve been.
How big is the congregation?
Small, and we like it that way. It means people know each other by name and you won’t slip through unnoticed — which some people are looking for and others aren’t. It’s worth knowing before you come.
Can I speak privately with the pastor?
Yes. You can ask Pastor Linda for a private conversation, either in person or over the phone. Send us a message or call and say that’s what you’d like. You don’t need a reason.
Families and children
Are children welcome?
Yes. Children are welcome to sit with their families through the service.
Is there a children’s program or Sunday school?
Not at the moment, and we’d rather say so plainly. We don’t have staffed children’s classes or Sunday school right now — there are relatively few children attending. Families worship together instead. A small nursery room is available for parents who need a quiet space, though it isn’t staffed.
What we believe and how we gather
What does Little Falls Chapel believe?
We believe the Bible is the source of truth, and it’s the foundation for everything taught here. We’re a non-denominational, Christ-centered church.
What denomination are you?
None — we’re non-denominational. We’re also not connected to Little Falls Presbyterian Church, which is a different congregation in Falling Waters.
Do you have midweek Bible studies or small groups?
Not right now. We don’t hold separate Bible studies, weekday prayer meetings, or small groups. Sunday morning is where we open the Bible together. If that changes, we’ll say so here.
Do I have to give money?
No. There’s an offering during the service, and visitors are under no obligation at all. If you’d like to give, there’s more about giving here.
How do I ask for prayer?
Use our prayer request form — your name and email are optional, so you can ask anonymously. You can also share a request out loud on Sunday if you want to.
