Serving other people doesn’t only help them. It changes us too. When we put our faith to work, we start to see people the way Jesus sees them, and the friendships we make along the way often last. Here’s why serving matters, and what it looks like at a small church like ours.

Why serving others strengthens your faith

Jesus said that whatever we do for “the least of these,” we do for Him (Matthew 25:40). Paul wrote, “Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ” (Galatians 6:2, KJV). And James reminds us that faith without works is dead (James 2:17). Serving is where belief turns into action.

  • It keeps us humble. Serving puts someone else first, which is exactly what Jesus did.
  • It builds friendships. Working side by side on something that matters draws people together.
  • It makes faith real. Praying for someone and then showing up for them are two halves of the same love.

How we serve at Little Falls Chapel

We’re a small church, so we keep it simple and personal:

  • Operation Christmas Child. Every year we pack shoeboxes with school supplies, a bowl, cup and utensils, and clothing when we can, and take them to a drop-off location for children around the world.
  • Visiting the sick. A hospital stay is lonely, so we make a point of showing up for our own.
  • Praying for our neighbors. Prayer requests are part of every Sunday service, and anyone can send us a request.
  • Christmas. Most years we put on a Christmas program with the children taking part, and we hold a Christmas service on the Sunday of Christmas.

Start where you are

You don’t need a program to serve. Visit a neighbor who’s sick, pray with a friend, or fill a shoebox. Small acts done in love matter to God.

If you’d like to help with the shoeboxes or just want to meet us, we’d love to have you on a Sunday at 10:00 AM. Plan your visit or get in touch.
