When life gets hard, you shouldn’t have to face it alone. Pastoral care simply means being cared for by a pastor and a church family: prayed for, visited, listened to and pointed back to God’s promises. Here’s what that looks like at Little Falls Chapel in Falling Waters, WV.

What the Bible says about caring for one another

Peter told church leaders to “feed the flock of God” willingly and with a ready mind (1 Peter 5:2). James tells us to pray for one another when we’re sick or struggling, because “the effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much” (James 5:16, KJV). Caring for each other isn’t an extra. It’s part of being the church.

How we care for one another

  • Prayer every Sunday. We share prayer requests during the service and pray for each one together.
  • Prayer any time. You can send a prayer request online. Your name and email are optional.
  • Hospital visits. If you’re in the hospital, you can expect a visit from your church family.
  • A pastor you can talk to. Pastor Linda Reese has led Little Falls Chapel since 1997. If you need to talk, send a message and choose “Talk with the pastor,” or call (301) 991-9282.

You don’t have to face it alone

Nobody here has to carry hard things alone. If you’re carrying something heavy, come as you are. We meet Sundays from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at 317 Foster Dr. Plan your visit.
