Have you ever said, “There’s just no way”? No way to pay the bills, no way to fix the marriage, no way to handle one more thing? In this message from Sunday, April 12, 2026, part of the “Keys to a Victorious Life” series, Pastor Linda Reese reminds us that God always has a way, and He will show it to us if we don’t give up.

Ruth: faithful when there was no way

Naomi lost her husband and both her sons. She told her daughters-in-law to go home, but Ruth refused: “whither thou goest, I will go… thy people shall be my people, and thy God my God” (Ruth 1:16, KJV). Ruth was a Moabite, an outsider, and God blessed her faithfulness anyway. She became the great-grandmother of King David (Ruth 4:17) and is named in the family line of Jesus (Matthew 1:5). God accepts everyone who fears Him and does what is right, from every nation (Acts 10:35).

God won’t put more on us than we can bear, and Pastor Linda pointed out the part of that verse people often miss: He “will with the temptation also make a way to escape” (1 Corinthians 10:13, KJV).

Hannah: pray from the heart

Hannah wanted a child so badly that she prayed silently in the temple with tears, so earnestly that the priest Eli thought she was drunk (1 Samuel 1:10–13). God is more concerned with the heart of our prayer than the length of it. Even the disciples asked Jesus, “Lord, teach us to pray” (Luke 11:1).

Samuel: learn to hear God’s voice

When God called the boy Samuel, he thought it was Eli, three times. Finally he answered, “Speak; for thy servant heareth” (1 Samuel 3:9–10). Hearing God takes practice. The Holy Spirit guides us into truth (John 16:13), but we have to slow down enough to listen. “Be still, and know that I am God” (Psalm 46:10).

Stop rocking in the worry chair

Worry is like a rocking chair: it keeps you busy but never gets you anywhere. The cares of this world choke out the Word (Mark 4:19). Instead, submit your plans to God and acknowledge Him in all your ways (Proverbs 3:6). Saul ran ahead of God and offered the sacrifice himself (1 Samuel 13:9), and Samuel told him that to obey is better than sacrifice (1 Samuel 15:22).

Take the thing you’ve been calling “no way” and hand it to God in prayer. Then give Him a few quiet minutes each day to listen, and ask Him to show you the way.
